Cancer affects not just patients but their whole family. It can be really hard for students whose families are dealing with cancer to focus on their studies.Recognizing this, Fadna has established the Vernolac Apeksha Scholarship, a beacon of hope illuminating the path to success.

In a powerful partnership with the Moratuwa New Horizon Lions Club, Fadna has launched the Fadna Vernolac Apeksha Scholarship Program. This initiative is designed to empower students grappling with the challenges of a family member’s cancer diagnosis to achieve their educational aspirations.

Open to Sri Lankan students preparing for or pursuing GCE Advanced Level examinations, the scholarship offers substantial financial support. Priority is given to students facing severe financial hardship due to their family’s cancer battle, while academic excellence and personal resilience are also key selection criteria.

By providing  financial assistance,Fadna and the Lions Club aim to alleviate the burden on these students, enabling them to focus on their studies without the added weight of financial worries. Beyond the monetary support, this scholarship symbolizes a profound commitment to the community and a steadfast belief in the transformative power of education.
